Man Dies in Fresno County Accident on East Conejo 

Fresno County, California (April 19, 2023) – A man was killed in a collision between a vehicle and a train in Fresno County on Tuesday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The wreck happened on East Conejo near Peach Avenue on April 18.

CHP said a driver went around the downed railroad crossings and was hit by an Amtrak train.

The vehicle was pushed nearly 200 feet up the train tracks.

The man driving the vehicle died at the scene while his female passenger was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The 1,300 passengers on the Amtrak train were not injured.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
