Man Killed in Bakersfield Crash on New Stine Road 

Bakersfield, California (May 10, 2023) – A man was fatally hit by a vehicle on Tuesday night in southwest Bakersfield, according to a report by the Bakersfield Police Department.

The incident took place in the 600 block of New Stine Road at around 9:55 p.m. May 9, in the 600 block of New Stine Road.

Police said a man was crossing the road outside of a crosswalk when he was hit by a car traveling northbound.

Emergency crews performed life-saving measures on the man but he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The driver of the car stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.

Further details on the incident  were not immediately released.

The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating the incident.
