2 Injured, 1 Seriously in East Hemet Crash at Columbia Street and Whittier Avenue

East Hemet, California (December 24, 2022) – Two people were injured, one seriously, in a GoCart accident on Saturday evening in East Hemet, authorities said.

The major injury accident happened at about 5:16 p.m. at Columbia Street and Whittier Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a Chevrolet Equinox struck the go-cart on the roadway in unclear circumstances.

One person was seriously injured in the accident and was airlifted to a hospital for treatment. One other person was hospitalized with minor injuries.

Further details regarding the mishap were not immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
