Los Angeles, California (May 5, 2023) – At least one person was seriously injured in a traffic collision involving a pedestrian that happened early Friday morning near Willowbrook, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The incident was reported at around 1:21 a.m. on eastbound Interstate 105 near Wilmington Avenue.

Two vehicles and a pedestrian were involved in the accident. The pedestrian was lying down in the HOV lane.

At least one person was seriously injured in the collision. Paramedics responded to the scene to help the victim.

CHP said a solo-car crash with property damage only also occurred in the same area at around the same time.

CHP did not immediately establish the cause of the collisions.
