1 Killed, 1 Injured in Bakersfield Crash on Highway 58 and Chester Avenue 

Bakersfield, California (March 2, 2023) – At least one person was killed in a multi-vehicle collision on Thursday afternoon in Bakersfield, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The wreck occurred on Highway 58 and Chester Avenue at around 3:46 p.m. 

CHP said at least three semi-trucks were involved in the collision with other vehicles on westbound Highway 58.

One of the vehicles reportedly caught fire.

One person was killed in the accident.

CHP said at least one other person was seriously injured in the wreck.

The accident impacted westbound traffic.

The CHP is investigating the collision.
