At Least 1 Severely Hurt in Live Oak Car Accident on Highway 99 near Nevada Street

Live Oak, California (March 17, 2023) – At least one person was severely injured in a multi-vehicle collision that occurred Thursday night on a highway in Live Oak, the California Highway Patrol reported.

Emergency personnel responded to southbound Highway 99 just north of Nevada Street, where the accident happened just after 9 p.m.

A silver Toyota RAV4, a black Subaru Crosstrek, and a third car were involved in the crash. The RAV4 went about 20 feet off the roadway down a small embankment.

At least one person sustained serious injuries, authorities said.

The Subaru and the Toyota were towed away with major crash damage.

CHP officers are investigating the accident.
