Oroville, California (May 7, 2023) – At least one person was severely injured after a head-on crash Sunday afternoon in Oroville.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the Crash was reported at around 5:04 p.m. on northbound State Route 70, just south of Bridge.

A black SUV and a white pickup truck possibly collided head-on. The events leading up to the wreck were not immediately established.

One person was trapped inside the car and had to be extricated.

At least one person sustained severe injuries in the accident.

A SigAlert was issued, closing the roadway due to the traffic collision.

An investigation to determine the events surrounding the wreck is ongoing
