<strong>Major Injuries Sustained in Early Morning Antelope Car Crash<strong>

Antelope, California (December 22, 2022) – Four people were injured, one seriously, in a collision involving a Sacramento Sheriff Deputy early Thursday morning in Antelope.

The California Highway Patrol said the accident happened at around 2:26 a.m. at Watt Avenue and Elverta Road.

A Sacramento Sheriff Deputy was traveling northbound on Watt Avenue, while at the same time, a 19-year-old was driving a white Mazda westbound on Elverta. The two vehicles collided at the intersection.

The CHP report said the 19-year-old was ejected from the vehicle and suffered major injuries. He was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

Three other occupants of the Mazda suffered minor to major injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

No other details were given, but an investigation is in progress.
