At Least 1 Severely Hurt in Long Beach Crash on Highway 91 near Atlantic Avenue

Long Beach, California (February 6, 2023) – At least one person was severely injured in a multi-vehicle collision that took place Sunday night in Long Beach, the California Highway Patrol said.

The incident occurred at around 11:14 p.m. on westbound Highway 91, just east of Atlantic Avenue.

Three vehicles were involved in the crash. A white sedan was left facing sideways in traffic lanes.

Long Beach firefighters responded to the scene to help the motorists.

At least one person sustained serious injuries in the accident. The patient was hospitalized in an unknown condition.

The Nos. 1, 2, 3 and HOV lanes remained blocked until shortly after Monday midnight following the accident.
