Long Beach, CA. – At least one person was seriously injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Saturday evening in Long Beach, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The incident took place around 8:37 p.m. on northbound Interstate 710 near Interstate 405.
About four vehicles were involved in the crash. One of the cars overturned onto its roof, trapping children inside.
A piece of guardrail that was damaged in the collision was blocking the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes.
At least one person suffered major injuries in the accident. Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to the hospital.
CHP officers are investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
