Richmond, CA. – At least one person suffered serious injuries in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Wednesday night on a freeway in Richmond, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. on the eastbound 80 Freeway, just west of the Carlson Boulevard off-ramp.
Four vehicles, including a Toyota Corolla and a blue Toyota Yaris, were involved in the accident.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene.
At least one person was transported to the hospital with major injuries.
Authorities did not immediately determine the cause of the accident.
CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
