
Los Angeles, CA.- Two people were killed in a rollover accident on the Pomona (60) Freeway in East Los Angeles on Wednesday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident happened shortly before 5:30 p.m. November 26, on the westbound freeway at the Long Beach (710) Freeway exchange and involved a single vehicle.
It's unclear what led up to the accident. The Los Angeles County Fire Department crews responded to the scene and located a crashed vehicle in the westbound lanes of the freeway with one occupant ejected. The ejected person was pronounced deceased at the scene. A second party died while enroute to a hospital. The identities of the involved parties were not immediately released.
The westbound lanes of the 60 freeway were shut down for over three hours as authorities investigated the incident. The California Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.
