Keyes, California (March 20, 2017) – A 37-yeard-old Keyes man died in a suspected DUI crash Saturday night in Keyes, according to a California Highway Patrol report.

The accident t took place at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday, March 18 in the areas of Keyes and Nunes Roads.

According to the report, a man behind the wheel a 2001 Ford was heading eastbound on Keyes Road when, for an unknown reason, the vehicle suddenly swerved into the path of a 2006 Pontiac driven by Sandy Taylor heading westbound on Keyes.

The 37-year-old man was taken to Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock where he died of his injuries early Sunday. The police believe that the victim was driving under the influence.

According to the CHP, Taylor complained of some pain. She was examined at the scene but declined medical assistance and opted to seek medical attention on her own.

Investigations showed that Taylor was wearing a seatbelt while the deceased man was not.

The incident remains under investigation.
