Juvenile Sustains Life Threatening Injuries in Adelanto Quad Crash

Adelanto, California (March 3, 2023) – A 15-year-old boy suffered life-threatening injuries in a quad bike collision that happened Tuesday afternoon at an intersection in Adelanto.

The boy’s quad collided with a car at around 12:58 p.m. on February 28 at Aster Road and Joshua Street near Adelanto High School.

Authorities said a 15-year-old male juvenile was riding a quad westbound on Joshua at an unknown speed when he failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a white Toyota Camry heading northbound on Aster at around 30 mph.

The boy got ejected from the bike and landed on the dirt shoulder of the roadway. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Emergency responders requested a helicopter and airlifted the juvenile to a trauma center with serious life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Camry was also taken to the hospital by a ground ambulance with unspecified injuries.

The Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station is investigating the accident.
