Jurupa Valley, California (March 20, 2017) – A woman was seriously injured Monday morning when she was struck by a vehicle in Jurupa Valley, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The incident took place at about 6:15 a.m. on Pedley Road, south of Ben Nevis Boulevard

According to the report, the CAL Fire/Riverside County Firefighters responded to the scene and pulled a woman out from under the vehicle.

The first responders transported the woman to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

According to the report, the authorities closed Pedley Road at Mission Boulevard. The southbound lanes were closed at 60 Freeway.

The cause of the major injury crash remains under investigation.
