Boy, 13, Killed in DUI Collision at 30th Street and Greenway Road in Phoenix Identified

Phoenix, Arizona (May 16, 2023) – 13-year-old Josiah Boteilho has been identified as the boy who died in a collision involving a suspected drunk driver on Sunday morning in Phoenix.
The fatal crash happened at 30th Street and Greenway Road at around 8 a.m. according to the Phoenix Fire Department.
36-year-old Bartolome Godinez-Perez was driving a car the wrong way on the 30th when he crashed into a vehicle occupied by a family of two adults and five children.
Josiah, who was the oldest of the five children and was about to finish his 8th grade at Shea Middle School, was killed in the accident.
A man, a woman, a boy and a girl were transported to the hospital in stable condition.
Authorities say Godinez-Perez exhibited signs of impairment and was arrested and booked on multiple charges including manslaughter, aggravated assault/traffic related and five counts of endangerment.
Additional information about the accident was not provided.
