Jose Tovar Seriously Injured in Napa Car Crash on Highway 29 near Ehlers Lane

Napa, California (February 14, 2023) – A Calistoga man was seriously injured in a traffic collision that happened in Napa on Tuesday morning.

The accident was reported around 6:11 a.m. on Highway 29 near Ehlers Lane, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.

A 2020 Toyota C-HR was traveling northbound when it drifted onto the east shoulder, struck a barrier, and then crossed the center line into the path of a southbound 2006 Hyundai Sonata,

Jose Tovar, a 75-year-old Calistoga man driving the Hyundai, was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center.

A 53-year-old St. Helena man driving the Toyota was hospitalized with moderate injuries.
