Fairfield, California (December 6, 2022) – Authorities have identified the man killed in a traffic collision on Saturday afternoon in Fairfield as 22-year-old Jose Acosta-Ramirez.

According to a local news source, the accident happened around 4:18 p.m. on December 3 at the Interstate 80 and 680 Freeway connector.

Per the report, two vehicles crashed for unknown reasons.

Responding emergency crews and medics declared Acosta-Ramirez dead due to the collision.

1 Killed in Car Accident on 80 Freeway near 680 Freeway in Fairfield

Solano County, California (December 3, 2022) – At least one person was killed in a car crash on Saturday afternoon in Fairfield.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on the eastbound 80 Freeway near the 680 Freeway at around 4:18 p.m.

The officers responding to the incident recovered two vehicles at the scene, but the CHP report did not state how the accident happened.

CHP says at least one person was killed in the accident.

The name of the deceased person was not immediately disclosed.

No additional information about the accident was provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
