Jorge Zamora Arrested after Cajon Pass Accident on 15 Freeway
Cajon Pass, California (November 25, 2022) – Jorge Alberto Zamora, 24, of San Bernardino, was arrested after a suspected DUI collision that took place in the Cajon Pass early Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened at around 1:13 a.m. on November 19, on the 15 Freeway near Oak Hill Road.
Zamora was reportedly driving a Chevrolet Malibu northbound on southbound 15 Freeway when he collided with an oncoming Honda Odyssey.
A 61-year-old San Diego woman, who was a passenger in the Honda, was killed in the crash.
The driver of the Honda sustained moderate injuries.
Other parties involved in the wreck sustained moderate injuries.
Zamora was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga on suspicion of DUI, gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, and DUI causing great bodily injury.
His bail was set at $250,000. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
