Joceline Rodriguez Injured in Murrieta Car Accident on Interstate 215
Murrieta, California (May 6, 2023) – Joceline Rodriguez of Las Vegas, was hurt in a suspected DUI accident in Murrieta on Monday morning, according to the authorities.
The wreck happened at around 3:15 a.m. May 1 on Interstate 215 near Linnel Lane.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, 26-year-old Isaiah F. Orona, of Menifee, was driving a 2020 Dodge Charger north on I-215 when he made an unsafe turn.
The Dodge crashed into the concrete center divider, then moved back into the roadway and collided with a 2004 Hyundai operated by a 55-year-old Menifee man.
The Dodge was then pushed into the southbound side and it collided with a 2017 Kia Sportage.
Joceline Rodriguez was among a family of four riding in the Kia. Joceline and her 4-year-old son were treated for minor injuries.
Her other son, Ian Sanchez, 6, of Las Vegas, and husband, Moses Sanchez-Rodriguez, 27, of Las Vegas, were hospitalized with major injuries.
Ian was reportedly declared brain dead at Rady Children’s Hospital.
Orona was hospitalized with serious injuries and was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
The crash is under investigation.
