Long Beach, California (February 7, 2023) – 90-year-old Jenny Zavatsky has been identified by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office has been identified as the woman who died in a collision on Saturday afternoon in Long Beach.

The fatal crash happened at around 2:30 p.m. in the area of Spring Street and Palo Verde Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Zavatsky was driving a 2007 Lincoln Continental when she sped through a parking lot and struck four parked vehicles.

Some of the parked vehicles struck a 68-year-old man and a 10-year-old boy.

The Lincoln ended up crashing into a tree.

Zavatsky was rushed to an area hospital where she died.

The 68-year-old man was hospitalized with major injuries

The boy suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene and released.

Additional information about the accident was not provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
