Jayveon Grant Dies After Being Hit by Truck in Phoenix

Phoenix, California (February 8, 2023) – 10-year-old Jayveon Grant died after he was struck by a pickup truck Tuesday morning in Phoenix, as per a local news source.

The boy was with a family member when the accident happened at about 8 a.m. near 23rd Avenue and Thunderbird Road.

Phoenix police said a driver of a pickup truck pulling a trailer was waiting to make a right turn at a stop sign near the intersection when Grant and his relative walked between the truck and trailer.

The pickup truck driver proceeded to turn, and the trailer hit the boy.

Grant was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, where he later died. His relative was not injured.

Police said the driver stayed at the scene after the accident.
