Jason Santana Dies, 1 Hospitalized in Phoenix Car Accident on 18th Street and Northern Avenue

Phoenix, Arizona (April 21, 2023) – 24-year-old Jason Macedo Santana was killed in a two-vehicle collision that occurred Thursday night on 18th Street in Phoenix.

According to the police, the wreck happened at around 10:30 p.m. on April 20 on 18th Street near 1800 East Northern Avenue.

Detectives say two cars were going eastbound on Northern Avenue when they collided, went off the roadway, and rolled over on the south side.

Santana and the other man were transported to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The second man remained in the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Officials say speed appeared to be a factor in the crash.
