According to police, a man was riding a motorcycle in the area near Desert View High when the collision happened

Tucson, AZ – The authorities have released the identity of a motorcyclist who was killed after colliding with a vehicle at an intersection in Tucson early Monday.
The Tucson Police Department identified the deceased rider as 64-year-old James Richard Forshey.
According to TPD, Forshey was riding a motorcycle westbound on Valencia Road and was not wearing a helmet.
At the same time, a vehicle on the left turn lane of Valencia was trying to make a left-hand turn into a private driveway. The motorcycle and the car collided as the car began to turn.
Forshey was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident occurred near the intersection of Valencia Road and Alvernon Way on Monday, August 11.
