Jaime Dodge Dies in Palm Desert Accident on Highway 111

Palm Desert, California (April 11, 2023) – Jaime Dodge, 34, of Palm Desert, was killed in a traffic collision on Monday night in Palm Desert, according to the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station .

The accident took place at around 9:25 p.m. April 10, on Highway 111 at Deep Canyon Drive.

Dodge was reportedly hit by a silver Honda CRV.

Deputies responded to the scene and performed lifesaving measures on Dodge.

He was then rushed to Desert Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The driver left the scene but was later located in Beaumont and was arrested.

The driver, identified as Christian Ruvalcaba, 21, of Palm Desert, was booked into the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio for hit-and-run, DUI causing injury, and vehicular manslaughter.

The Palm Desert Station is investigating the accident.
