Grace Vogel Injured in South County Collision on Highway 49

South County, California (March 15, 2023) – Grace Vogel, 20, of Penn Valley, was one of three drivers injured in a multi-vehicle accident in the South County Tuesday morning, according to authorities.

The crash happened on Tuesday, March 14, on Highway 49 near Streeter Road.

Authorities said Ariana Sandoval, 21, of Cool, was driving north on Highway 49 when she attempted to change lanes and her car swerved into the southbound side, where it collided with two other vehicles.

Sandoval sustained moderate injuries while Vogel and the other driver, Nelson Ramos, 40, of Cedar Ridge, suffered minor injuries.

Weather and the condition of the roadways are  suspected to be factors in the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
