Francisco Rodriguez Identified as 1 of 3 Killed in Los Banos Crash on Highway 152 near Hilldale Avenue
Los Banos, California (February 18, 2023) – Francisco Javier Sandoval Rodriguez, 31, has been identified as one of the three people who were killed in a multi-vehicle accident on Tuesday, according to the Merced County Sheriff’s Office.
The deadly accident happened on February 14 on Highway 152 near Hilldale Avenue.
According to the officials, Aaron Lam, 21, of Long Beach, was traveling eastbound on the highway when he lost control of his Mercedes, causing it to overturn and roll to the other side of the road.
Unfortunately, the Mercedes landed on top of a Toyota Tacoma occupied by Jaime Romo Islas, 42, Roberto Romo Islas, 38, and Rodriguez. The Toyota was traveling westbound at the time.
The debris struck one other vehicle from the collision.
Sadly, Jaime, Roberto and Rodriguez sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
Lam was flown to Doctor’s Hospital in Modesto with major injuries.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
