Four Workers Hurt in Los Angeles Accident at Los Angeles International Airport
Los Angeles, California (November 1, 2022) – Four airport employees were injured when a carbon dioxide leak happened at Los Angeles International Airport on Monday, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The incident happened in Terminal 8 near the baggage area on Monday, October 31.
Authorities said a woman and three men were working in or near a utility room when a release of carbon dioxide vapor occurred.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and performed CPR on one of the workers, a man in his 50s.
The victim was hospitalized with critical injuries.
All other patients had less severe injuries.
Authorities contained the leak and the terminal was deemed safe.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
