Fernando Buenrostro Injured in Fatal Imperial County Accident on Dogwood Road near Ralph Road

Imperial County, California (November 23, 2022) – Fernando Buenrostro, 57, of Brawley, was hurt in a fatal multi-vehicle collision that happened Sunday afternoon in Imperial County, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at about 2:30 p.m. November 20, on Dogwood Road near Ralph Road.

According to the CHP, a 26-year-old man from Cathedral City was driving a 2016 Kia Forte southbound on Dogwood Road when, for unknown reasons, he went into the northbound side and crashed head-on with a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado driven northbound by Buenrostro.

The Kia then collided with a northbound 2021 Chevrolet Silverado operated by Araceli Osuna, 54, of Brawley.

The driver of the Kia, whose name was not released, was killed in the collision.

Buenrostro had minor injuries and declined medical attention. 

Osuna suffered minor injuries and was transported to El Centro Regional Medical Center.

Authorities are investigating the accident.
