1 Hurt in Thousand Palms Crash on 10 Freeway and Cook Street

Thousand Palms, California (February 3, 2023) – One person was injured following a multi-vehicle accident on Thursday morning in Calimesa, according to a California Highway Patrol report.

The accident happened at around 10:44 a.m. on February 2, on 10 Freeway, west of Cook Street.

Per the dispatch, four vehicles crashed for unknown reasons.

Fire officials and medical personnel attended to a female party with a broken hand due to the crash. The CHP officials did not release the name of the patient.

The vehicles were blocking lanes 1 and 2 following the accident. The roadway was opened as of 11:40 a.m.

The cars were towed away from the accident scene.

The incident remains under investigation.
