Rider Seriously Hurt in Holtville Bicycle Accident near E Evan Hewes Highway and Barbara Worth Drive

Holtville, California (March 8, 2023) – A female cyclist was seriously injured after being hit by a car Wednesday morning near an intersection in Holtville, the California Highway Patrol said.

The incident took place at about 9:30 a.m. near E Evan Hewes Highway and Barbara Worth Drive.

A female cyclist was reportedly crossing the roadway when she was hit by a car.

Imperial County firefighters responded to the scene and helped the cyclist who sustained serious injuries.

Authorities are investigating to establish the cause of the accident.
