Upper Lake, California (February 17, 2017) –  A fatal crash was reported early Friday morning in Upper Lake after a pickup truck struck a pedestrian on Highway 20.

At about 12:12 a.m. this morning, officers received reports of a pedestrian struck by a blue Toyota Tundra. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office deputies and paramedics responded to the scene and found a pedestrian lying down on the east side of the roadway.

While the manner in which the accident occurred was not indicated in the report, the paramedics confirmed that the pedestrian was killed in the accident.

The identity of the victim was not immediately available.

The cause crash remains under investigation.
