1 Killed in Auburn Car Crash on 80 Freeway near Newcastle Road
At around 12:16 p.m. the California Highway Patrol dispatch received reports of a multi-vehicle collision on westbound 80 Freeway near Newcastle Road.
A Toyota sedan, a pickup truck and possibly a bus were involved in the collision. The impact of the collision caused one of the cars to overturn.
As per the CHP report, at least one person was killed in the accident.
The name of the deceased person was not immediately disclosed.
Additional information about the accident was not provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
