Woman Killed in Tucson Pedestrian Crash near East Pima Street

Tucson, Arizona (April 10, 2023) – The police are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred Saturday on East Pima Street in Tucson.

According to the Tucson Police Department, the crash happened on April 8 in the 4500 block of East Pima Street, near the intersection of Pima and North Belvedere.

Reportedly, a Dodge Ram was going eastbound on Pima Street when it struck a pedestrian in unclear circumstances.

Tucson Fire Department arrived at the scene and transported the female pedestrian to the hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

The Ram driver, impaired at the time of the crash, stayed at the site and cooperated with the investigation.

Police presented the case to the Pima County Attorney’s office to determine what charges were necessary for the driver.

The crash remains under investigation.
