Woman and Dog Killed in Fresno County Crash on Clinton and Bethel Avenues

Fresno County, California (April 19, 2023) – A woman and dog were killed after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday morning in Fresno County.

The tragic traffic collision happened at around 8:00 a.m. on Clinton and Bethel Avenues, north of Sanger, according to a police report.

The CHP says a woman was walking her dog when they were struck by a pickup driven by an off-duty Clovis Police officer.

The police officer stopped and performed CRP on the woman but could not revive her.

The woman and dog were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Drugs and alcohol were not suspected to be factors in the accident.

The CHP is investigating the incident.
