Erik Mora Killed in Fremont Crash on Niles Boulevard and Hillview Drive 

Fremont, California (February 8, 2023) – Erik Mora, 53, of Modesto, was killed in a traffic collision at an intersection in Fremont on Monday night, according to the authorities.

The wreck happened at around 8:27 p.m. February 6, at Niles Boulevard and Hillview Drive.

Authorities said a vehicle was traveling eastbound on Hillview Drive when it tried to make a left turn onto Niles Boulevard and collided with a vehicle heading south on Niles Boulevard.

Both vehicles crashed into a disabled parked vehicle after the incident.

Mora, who was in one of the vehicles, was extricated by firefighters and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The other driver, a 19-year-old Fremont man, was able to get out on his own and was hospitalized with unspecified injuries.

Authorities said alcohol or drugs may have played a role in the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
