Ellis Woodall Killed in East County Collision on State Route 94

East County, California (February 28, 2023) – Ellis James Woodall, 37, of Jacumba Hot Springs, was killed in a motorcycle collision on February 19 in East County, according to the San Diego County medical examiner’s office.

The wreck happened on State Route 94 at Bell Valley Truck Trail.

Woodhall was reportedly riding a Kawasaki motorcycle when he crashed into a van that was making a U-turn in front of him on SR 94.

The impact ejected Woodhall from the motorcycle and he was pinned under the van.

Authorities said Woodhall was killed in the crash.

The driver of the van remained at the scene after the crash.

No further details were available. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
