Edgar Manzo Mendoza Killed in Oakdale Accident on Highway 120

Oakdale, California (April 18, 2023) – Edgar Manzo-Mendoza, 20, of Escalon, has been identified as the man killed in a motorcycle collision north of Oakdale last week on Wednesday, according to the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office.

The wreck happened on Highway 120 at 26 Mile Road at around 8:10 p.m. April 12.

Manzo-Mendoza was riding a dirt bike westbound on Highway 120 when he was involved in a broadside collision with a pickup driven southbound on 26 Mile Road by Dayton Williams, 22, of Oakdale.

Manzo-Mendoza and his passenger, identified as a 16-year-old Riverbank boy, were both ejected onto the roadway by the impact of the crash.

Both riders were not wearing a helmet and were taken to Memorial Medical Center.

Manzo-Mendoza died at the hospital while his passenger sustained moderate injuries.

Williams was unhurt in the collision.

An investigation into the wreck is ongoing.
