Driver Hurt in Oakland Accident on High Street and Coliseum Way 

Oakland, California (January 30, 2023) – A driver was injured in a collision involving a train on Monday morning in OAkland, according to the authorities.

The incident took place in the area of High Street and Coliseum Way at around 6:19 a.m. 

The vehicle was hit by an Amtrak Capitol Corridor train enroute to San Jose. It’s unclear what led up to the crash.

The driver of the car had to be extricated from the wreckage.

Medics transporte him to a hospital and was later said to be in stable condition.

No one on the train was injured in the accident.

The crash caused a two-hour delay of the train as authorities investigated the incident.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
