2 Injured in Victorville Collision on Silica Drive near Hesperia Road

Victorville, California (April 19, 2023) – Two people were hurt, one critically, after a two-vehicle collision that happened Tuesday afternoon in Victorville, as per a local news source.

Two vehicles collided on Silica Drive east of Hesperia Road, near the Tri City Car Wash.

A red 2012 Toyota Rav4 SUV and a silver Toyota sedan collided at around 2 p.m. for unknown reasons.

Emergency personnel from the Victorville City Fire Department found the SUV with front-end damage and the sedan with damage on the driver’s side.

The firefighters used the jaws of life to extricate the female driver of the sedan and performed CPR. An air ambulance was requested to airlift the critically injured person to the hospital.

The airship was later canceled, and the driver was transported by ground ambulance to Desert Valley Hospital.

Another person sustained minor injuries.

Silica Drive was shut down in both directions between Hesperia Road and Business Center Drive during extrication and investigation.
