Dianna Clinton Injured in Fatal Blythe Crash on State Route 95

Blythe, California (May 12, 2023) – Dianna Clinton, 66, of Blythe, was injured in a deadly traffic collision near Blythe in Riverside County Wednesday morning, the California Highway Patrol said.

The incident was reported at about 8 a.m. May 10, on SR 95 near Sixth Avenue.

According to CHP, Travis Hunt, 24, of Desert Hot Springs, was driving a 2002 Subaru Forester south on SR 95 when, for unknown reasons, he went across the centerline and crashed into the left rear of a northbound 2012 Jeep Wrangler driven by Clinton.

Both vehicles to flipped following the impact and Hunt was ejected from the Subaru.

Authorities said Hunt was pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger in the Subaru, Kathryn Daher, 42, of Palm Desert, was flown to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.

Clinton also had minor injuries but was not taken to the hospital.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
