Los Angeles, CA.- Dennis Hernandez, 35, and 6-month-old Josiah Lozano, have been identified as the victims killed in a crash that happened in the Vermont Square area on April 8, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office.
The incident took place at 4628 S. Western Avenue, east of West 47th Street at about 11:30 p.m.
Hernandez was reportedly driving a stolen vehicle northbound on S. Western Avenue at a high rate of speed when he swerved into the path of oncoming traffic and collided with a southbound vehicle carrying a family of three.
The suspect's vehicle then spun out of control and flipped.
Hernandez was ejected by the impact of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A baby in the second vehicle, identified as Josiah, was also pronounced deceased at the scene.
Josiah's parents were transported to a hospital with critical injuries.
Authorities are investigating the incident.
