Demetrianna Duncan Killed in Sacramento Accident on Calvine Road and Franklin Boulevard

Sacramento, California (May 8, 2023) – Demetrianna Duncan, 18, was killed in a crash at a Sacramento intersection on Thursday afternoon, according to the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.

The wreck took place at Calvine Road and Franklin Boulevard at around 4:25 p.m. May 4.

According to authorities, a Sacramento police officer attempted to stop a driver operating a stolen sedan but the driver took off. 

The officers chose not to pursue the suspect, who was driving recklessly.

Shortly after, the suspect’s vehicle collided with a pickup truck in the area of Calvine Road and Franklin Boulevard.

Demetrianna Duncan was among the passengers in the sedan and was killed in the incident.

An adult male and two juveniles in the sedan were transported to hospital with critical injuries.

Two passengers riding in the pickup truck were transported with critical injuries while a third passenger was treated for moderate injuries.

An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
