According to CHP, Francisco Avalos, 67, of Orland, was driving a 2012 Toyota eastbound on County Road 18 when he entered the intersection and the car was hit on the driver's side by a 2023 Ford pickup truck traveling south on Old Highway 99w.

Orland, CA.- Three people were injured in a two-vehicle collision near Orland on Wednesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened on County Road 18 and Old Highway 99w.
According to CHP, Francisco Avalos, 67, of Orland, was driving a 2012 Toyota eastbound on County Road 18 when he entered the intersection and the car was hit on the driver's side by a 2023 Ford pickup truck traveling south on Old Highway 99w.
Avalos and the driver of the pickup, Aaditya Marwah, 39, of Chico, were treated for minor injuries at the scene.
A passenger in the Toyota, Deborah Avalos, was transported to Enloe Health with unspecified injuries.
Impairment was not suspected to have played a role in the incident, according to CHP.
The investigation is ongoing.
