Davis, CA. – A motorcyclist died in a traffic collision that happened early Tuesday morning on a freeway in Davis, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The accident occurred around 4:48 a.m. on the eastbound 80 Freeway near the Mace Boulevard on-ramp.
A motorcyclist and two other vehicles, including a possible dump truck, were involved in the collision. The driver of the dump truck allegedly fled the scene.
The motorcyclist died in the collision.
All lanes of the eastbound 80 Freeway through Davis were closed following the accident.
