1 Killed, Another Hospitalized after Grass Valley Crash on Rough and Ready Highway near Greenwood Road

Grass Valley, California (January 31, 2023) – One person died, and another was hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision that happened Monday evening near Grass Valley, the California Highway Patrol said.

The wreck occurred at around 5:53 p.m. on Rough and Ready Highway near Greenwood Road.

A white Subaru WRX collided head-on with another car under unclear circumstances.

One person died in the crash, and another was hospitalized with unknown injuries.

CHP did not mention the cause of the crash, but an investigation is ongoing.
