1 Killed, 1 Injured in Yuba City Car Collision on Highway 99 near Highway 113
Yuba City, California (January 6, 2023) – One person died in a multi-vehicle collision that left at least one other person injured on Thursday night in Yuba City.
The pileup transpired at about 10:55 p.m. on northbound Highway 99 near Highway 113 and Tudor Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2017 Dodge Caravan was traveling on the highway when the driver veered to the left into the path of a 2020 Kenworth T680 semi-truck pulling a 53-foot trailer and the two vehicles collided.
The driver of the Caravan was pronounced dead at the scene.
The semi truck driver suffered minor injuries, but declined medical treatment.
A SigAlert was issued, closing Highway 99 at Highway 113 in both directions as police investigated and for a sweeper truck to clear the debris from the lanes.
