At Least 1 Killed in Menifee Car Crash on Interstate 215
Menifee, California (May 19, 2023) – At least one person died in a traffic collision that occurred Thursday night on Interstate 215 in Menifee, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The incident transpired at around 9:15 p.m. in the northbound lanes near Scott Road.
The accident involved at least two vehicles.
Authorities received a call about the accident from one of the involved parties advising that the occupants of the other vehicle were injured and needed medical help.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed one person trapped in the wreckage.
At least one person was killed in the crash.
It remained unclear if the other parties sustained injuries.
The northbound lanes were shut down during the rescue operation. Traffic was being diverted off the freeway at Scott Road.
