At Least 1 Killed in Castaic Junction Crash on Highway 126 near Wolcott Way

Castaic Junction, California (February 9, 2023) – Authorities are investigating a deadly traffic collision that happened early Thursday morning near Castaic Junction in Los Angeles County.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident was reported at around 3:31 a.m. on westbound Highway 126, just west of Wolcott Way.

A party called authorities reporting that another vehicle had slammed into the back of their trailer. The vehicles were blocking the roadway when a third vehicle also got involved in the accident.

The report said the crash left at least one person dead.

Caltrans was requested to respond to the scene for a highway closure.
