At Least 1 Killed in Brentwood Semi-Truck Accident on Vasco Road near Camino Diablo

Brentwood, California (February 27, 2023) – Police are investigating a deadly traffic collision involving a big rig that happened early Monday morning in Brentwood.

According to the California Highway Patrol, several people were trapped in the head-on collision that was reported at around 4:19 a.m. on southbound Vasco Road near Camino Diablo.

A big rig and a car collided head-on for unknown reasons.

Firefighters responded to the scene and closed both southbound lanes of Vasco Road as they extricated parties from the wreckage.

The report said at least one person was killed in the accident. The Contra Costa County Sheriff-Coroner was requested to respond following the fatal collision.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
